Occupational Therapy

The occupational therapy department provides evaluations, consultation and treatment for children with neurological, musculoskeletal, and motor developmental delays of known and unknown causes. We specialize in treating a variety of diagnoses, including:

Cerebral palsy
Down syndrome
Brachial plexus injury
Regulatory disorder
Anxiety disorder
Failure to thrive
Visual impairment
Traumatic brain injury
Issues related to prematurity
Developmental apraxia

The focus of therapy is to work in the child’s natural environment (home or community) to provide the parents and caregivers with strategies and activities to help the child with his/her concerns. We can provide therapy on an individual basis or in a group setting at our Fairport clinic.
