Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy department provides evaluations and treatment for children with neurological, musculoskeletal and motor developmental delays of known and unknown causes. Diagnoses treated include:

• Cerebral palsy
• Arthrogryposis
• Muscular dystrophy
• Down syndrome
• Brachial plexus injury
• Autism
• Torticollis
• Other neurological and orthopedic conditions that affect the child’s overall development and mobility

Physical therapy focuses on:

• Improving strength in weak muscles
• Improving flexibility in muscles and joints
• Improving coordination and balance
• Normalizing muscle tone
• Positioning to improve skill development
• Adapting equipment

Evaluations and therapy are provided to children in their natural environments.
